Exterior

Beautifully presented in its original French Blue colour, this Giulia is true to its classic Italian style. Having had a full respray in recent years (photos available), the paintwork is in very good order throughout with a deep shine and there are no faded areas to report. On closer inspection, the brightwork is in excellent condition with no corrosion or pitting to be found. Equipped with desirable Alfaholics lowering springs (30mm) and 15-inch GTA style wheels, the car not only handles superbly but also sits with a more assertive stance.

Interior

The elegantly appointed interior really is a special place to be with driver-focused gauges and wood trim panels. The original Hellebore three-spoke wooden steering wheel is still present and feels beautiful in-hand when driving. The seats and door cards are upholstered in tasteful burgundy vinyl, a lovely combination against the French Blue exterior. All the switchgear feels solid to operate and there is no sun damage to be found on the dash-top or gauges. The carpets are protected in the footwells with black overmats.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Originally a 1300 Junior from factory, this example is now equipped with the desirable 2-litre Nord engine. The twin-cam unit delivers a punchy 130hp through a 5-speed gearbox, and it feels surprisingly swift for a vehicle of its vintage. Equipped with twin Webber carbs, the sound is intoxicating to say the least with a raspy, growling induction note that is rather addictive. Out on the road the engine feels strong and the gearbox is smooth to operate throughout the rev range.

History File

In recent years the car has undergone a huge amount work including a full respray, a replacement rebuilt 2-litre Nord engine, and a host Alfaholics upgrades including springs, shocks, anti-roll bars, manifold, exhaust, and GTA style wheels. Within the accompanying history folder you’ll find a huge stack of paperwork including old registration documents, many invoices for maintenance (since 2015), and a complete breakdown of the engine rebuild and installation with photos.
