Exterior
This UK-supplied Datsun 240Z presents beautifully in white with a black interior. The paintwork is in great condition all around with no mismatched panels following a full respray in 2014 by Fourways Engineering. The car maintains a sleek, clean profile along both sides. The polished chrome trim is also in good condition, while the rubber seals remain supple and free from sun damage. The period-correct Minilite wheels are a stylish addition, fitted with tyres (date-stamped 2023) that have plenty of tread left. A few minor carefully touched-up blemishes hint at the car’s authenticity, but overall it’s a very usable, clean example that belies its age.

Interior
Inside, you’re greeted by the correct black vinyl 240Z seats in fantastic condition. Despite being 51 years old, the interior remains in excellent throughout. The only non-original items fitted are the Sony Bluetooth head unit and speakers for modern convenience. The fine three-spoke steering wheel feels superb in-hand, as does the original wooden gear knob. The dash and centre console are also in excellent condition, and the switchgear still feels reassuringly solid when operated.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with a later 260Z (L26) engine, this example truly flies with plenty of torque on tap. The 5-speed manual gearbox feels tight and precise, shifting through all gears with ease. A full Fourways stainless steel exhaust system including the manifold has just been fitted (costing £1,858), producing a glorious note without being overbearing for normal road use. Recent work carried out includes but is not limited to: radiator refurbishment, electric fuel pump installation, spark plugs, air filter, coolant, engine oil and filter, differential oil, gearbox oil, brake pads, brake fluid, clutch fluid, and rear wheel cylinders. Upon inspection by our trusted classic car specialists, the technicians were very impressed with how well this example drove, feeling powerful and planted throughout the rev range.
History File
First registered in June 1973, this UK-supplied Datsun 240Z has had just 6 keepers throughout its life, with the previous owner having owned it for 19 years. Last serviced in September 2023, the car most recently benefited from a full mechanical inspection by our trusted specialist. The accompanying history file includes current and previous V5 documents, a raft of invoices detailing the recent work carried out, and a spare key. This fine example is a blast to drive, boasting a good amount of recent work and is, all in all, a very usable car that is ready to be enjoyed.
