The second-generation Focus was launched at the Paris Motor Show in September 2004 as a three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, and an estate. The basic suspension design, which contributed much to the Mk1’s success, was carried over largely unchanged from its predecessor. The Mk2 was larger than its predecessor and so both the interior and boot space were increased. New technologies included a KeyFree system, a solar-reflect windshield, adaptive front lighting, Bluetooth and voice control for audio, telephone, and climate control systems.
In 2005 the sporty Focus ST was released. This one produced circa 225hp and could achieve a 0–60mph time of 6.4 seconds, with a 152mph top speed! It used a 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbocharged engine originating from Volvo. The Focus ST was available in three specifications; the ST, ST-2 (featured here), and ST-3. With production of the Mk2 ST ending in late 2010 this lovely facelifted example is probably one of the very last off the production.
Electric Orange Metallic paintwork, Recaro Mondus sports seats in Dark Flint / Orange cloth, 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels in black, Exclusive ST sports body styling, Unique sports interior styling, 8-way driver’s seat adjustment and manual lumbar support, Unique ST-design leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, Keyless entry with engine start/stop button, Air conditioning, Performance suspension, Rear parking sensors, High-performance front and rear disc brakes, Sony CD audio system with DAB radio, Automatic Bi-xenon headlights with rear LED lights, Quickclear heated windscreen, Tailored Mountune carpet mats, Spare key.
With a mere 11k miles under its belt this superb facelift ST-2 presents in remarkable condition throughout – it looks like new! The gleaming all-original Electric Orange paintwork is quite simply stunning, and after visually inspecting the whole car the only negatives to report are a couple of very light frontal stone chips, one discreetly touched-in chip on the edge of the rear spoiler, and one very small mark on the driver's door - but certainly nothing to detract from the car's highly impressive appearance. This cosseted example has clearly led a sheltered life having always been carefully stored indoors. As such all of the glass, badges, trims and rubber seals still look factory fresh. Truly one for the collector.

The phenomenal as-new condition continues inside; it smells like a new car and we have been unable to find any wear in any of the usual places. The seat bolsters are completely free from signs of use with the steering wheel, gear knob, and pedals also looking perfect. None of the switches have any scratches or marks, the Mountune floor mats are immaculate, and the boot area looks unused. Being an ST-2 additional factory equipment includes the upgraded Sony audio system with DAB radio, bi-xenon headlamps, and the handy heated windscreen. It’s also equipped with auto lights and rear parking sensors.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The mechanicals of the car have always been maintained to the highest standards. It has been serviced exclusively by Ford and so, as you would expect with such low mileage, this one still feels as tight as a drum. The engine bay is extremely clean and there are 6 Ford service stamps in the original maintenance booklet. The last service was carried out at Hendy Ford in August 2021 at 10,965 miles. The cambelt was replaced at the current mileage in March 2022.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 18-inch alloys are in amazing condition all round. Finished in black they look superb against the bright orange paintwork and complement the car’s tinted windows perfectly. The wheels are wrapped in a matching set of Yokohama tyres, all with at least 5mm of tread remaining. The brakes have also been checked and appear in fine operational condition.
This exceptional ST-2 was first registered in December 2010 and as such is one of the last produced. It has now driven just 11k miles in the hands of only 3 keepers from new. Despite its ultra-low mileage the car is accompanied by a comprehensive Ford main dealer service history with 6 stamps in the original maintenance booklet; the first 5 stamps are Vospers Ford and the last is Hendy. These services were carried out at the following mileages: 1,780 – 8,253 – 9,012 – 9712 – 10,113 – and lastly at 10,965 miles in August 2021. The all-important cambelt change has only recently been done in March 2022 at the current mileage.
