Exterior

This must be the cleanest, most original C55 we’ve seen, and barely run-in with only 25k miles under its belt, we’re confident that it’s the finest UK-supplied example currently available. The Brilliant Silver paintwork is exceptional with a deep and even lustre, she’s arrow-straight along both sides, and aside from only or two very minor blemishes, everything is first-rate. The car has clearly been garaged all its life as there is no evidence of sun damage to any of the external trims or paintwork. The double-spoke AMG wheels are perfect, and the tyres are Michelin Pilot Sports all round. It's not every day we're blown away by the condition of a car when it first arrives on site, but that certainly was the case when we took delivery of this cherished example.

Interior

Inside, it smells like a new car. The original Nappa leather is some of the finest we’ve seen of any car of this age, still feeling soft and supple with the same shine-free finish as when it left the factory back in 2004. The seat bolsters are barely even wrinkled, and other than some trivial marks on the driver’s door pull, we’ve been unable to find wear in any of the usual places. The steering wheel feels brand new with a perfect grain to the leather and again, no shine. The dash plastics and switchgear are all unmarked, and there is no discolouration to any of the glossy maple inlays. The factory COMAND head unit is retained (these are commonly replaced with aftermarket systems), and spotless AMG overmats can still be found protecting the footwell carpets. At the rear of the car, the back seats are pristine and in the boot you’ll find a protective carpet liner and Mercedes first aid kit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The heart of the C55 is a 5.4-litre naturally aspirated V8, hand-built by one individual at AMG and boasting an impressive 361hp. Lifting the bonnet, you’re presented with a truly immaculate engine bay that looks more in line with that of a two-year old example. As with the rest of the car, the condition here is exquisite with no marking or discolouration to the grey AMG cover. Despite the remarkably low mileage, the car has been serviced 10 times and primarily within the Mercedes-Benz main dealer network. The original maintenance book is fully stamped up to 2019 with invoices for all subsequent services in the paperwork.

History File

Offering blistering performance with understated good looks, the C55 is real wolf in sheep’s clothing. This immaculate 25k mile example was supplied new by John R. Weir Mercedes-Benz in October 2004. It has had only 3 keepers in total and was acquired by the current owner for his collection back in 2019. Accompanying the car is the original Mercedes service booklet, factory spec list, clear HPI report, and a selection of invoices for maintenance in recent years. The documented service history is as follows:
