Exterior

The Satellite Silver paintwork is immaculate having been professionally ceramic coated and fully PPF’d to preserve its amazing condition. There are no off-colour panels and a deep shine is retained throughout. At the front end there’s barely a stone chip in sight and the lights are crystal-clear. Both sides of the car are free from any door dings or scratches and the original 17-inch alloy wheels are unmarked with the correct Enkei/Ralliart decals in place. A very sharp example overall having been significantly refreshed in recent years.

Interior

The deeply bolstered Recaro sports seats are trimmed in perforated red cloth with black Alcantara bolsters and special TME embroidery, all exclusive to the Tommi Makinen Edition. Much like the exterior of the car, the condition of the upholstery is first-rate with no discolouration or fading issues to report. The dash plastics and switchgear are in good order and the footwell carpets are complete with a fresh set of overmats. There are no aftermarket gauges fitted but a Kenwood touchscreen head unit has been installed for modern convenience along with an expensive JL Audio sound system. The condition of the original Momo steering wheel is also excellent having been professionally re-trimmed in fine Nappa leather with the correct red stitching.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The car has just returned from an independent mechanical inspection, full service, timing belt change and MOT, so she’s ready to go. The engine bay is tidy but unrestored with the only unoriginal item being an aftermarket air filter. Out on the road everything still feels really tight; the engine feels as potent as ever and the four-wheel-drive system provides enough confidence to power though corners at speed.

History File

A Japanese domestic market car originally, this fantastic Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition was first registered in the UK in 2012. It has been with the current owner since 2014 and comes freshly serviced with a new cambelt and water pump for additional peace of mind. The accompanying history file comprises a raft of UK invoices, MOT certificates, a spare key, and the current V5C showing 2 former keepers.
